A MAN has been charged with criminal damage after shop windows were smashed in Bournemouth town centre on Friday night.
Police were called to Patisserie Valerie and Lush in Post Office Road and Old Christchurch Road on Friday night, May 6, at around 10.22pm.
Damage to the windows could be seen at both premises on Monday morning.
A spokesperson for Lush said the shop is open as usual after health and safety precautions were put in place. The window will be replaced at some point this week, they added.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “A 44-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested and has been charged with criminal damage and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on 25 May 2022.”
