A MOTORCYCLIST who “appeared to avoid” officers was found to be driving with no insurance.

Officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team found the driver in Castle Lane West.

A spokesperson said: “The bike appeared to avoid us when he noticed we were police.

“When we caught up with him, PNC was showing no insurance.

“The driver admitted not sorting the insurance out when it ran out back in March. Already on nine points for several other offences including 58mph in a 30mph he’s likely to now be disqualified.

“The bike has been seized and the rider reported to court.”
