A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a crash involving a van and a lorry in north Dorset. 

The collision on the A350 at Shaftesbury near Tollgate Park happened at 10.46am on Monday, May 9.

The woman sustained injuries that are not believed to be serious.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We received a report at 10.46am of a collision involving a van and a lorry on the A350 at Shaftesbury near Tollgate Park.

“Officers have attended, along with the ambulance service."

Road closures were put in place while emergency services responded to the incident.

The local authority was notified due to fuel on the road.

The road reopened shortly after 2pm.
