THE weekend brought mixed fortunes with sunshine on Saturday and rain on Sunday.
Despite warm and sunny weather over Easter last month, the May bank holiday has failed to deliver the same results.
Today, Bank Holiday Monday, will be overcast with highs of around just 13C.
Unfortunately, the cloudy conditions are set to stick with us as we enter a new week.
Here’s what the weather has in store for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole according to the Met Office forecast.
Monday, May 2 – cloudy, highs of 14C
Tuesday, May 3 – cloudy changing to light showers by lunchtime, highs of 15C
Wednesday, May 4 – cloudy changing to sunny intervals by late morning, highs of 16C
Thursday, May 5 – cloudy changing to clear by night-time, highs of 16C
Friday, May 6 – cloudy, highs of 16C
Saturday, May 7 – cloudy changing to sunny intervals in the afternoon, 17C
Looking ahead to the week of May 9, the Met Office says: “Into the following week generally settled conditions should prevail in the south, whereas in the north, conditions are more changeable.
“Temperatures are likely to be around or above average throughout, but cooler towards the north and near coasts.”
