TWO neighbouring properties with stunning sea views are on the market at multi-million-pound guide prices – and you won’t find them in Sandbanks.

The “incredibly rare” listings concern two large houses in Rothesay Drive, Highcliffe.

Estate agents Savills is listing four-bed property Dalkeith at £2.5million, while next door, four-bed Cliff House is listed for £2.75million.

Sean Gibson, head of residential sales at Savills in Canford Cliffs, described Dalkeith as his “dream property”.

He said Cliff House is the perfect home for “entertaining, having a barbecue with family view”.

Discussing the demand for such properties across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, Mr Gibson said: “The much-discussed ‘race for space’ over the past 18 months or so is one that has understandably seen a rise in interest across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole as an area in general.

“Buyers, particularly those looking to move from more urban areas, have been drawn to villages such as Highcliffe because of its proximity to the beach.

“It’s very rare that seafront properties with outstanding panoramic views and located minutes from the beach become available but there is a really sustained level of demand in the market which explains why the likes of Highcliffe and Sandbanks, which is ever popular, continue to attract a lot of interest among buyers registered with ourselves.”

Cliff House, which is being offered for sale for the first time in 28 years, is arranged over two-floors with two bathrooms and three living rooms.

It also boasts a summer house, private balcony and raised terrace.

Dalkeith is described as “New England style residence”, with an open plan layout and generous garden. Inside it boasts four bathrooms, including en suites, and three living rooms. There is a separate 'Coach House', ideal for guests, elderly parents or older children, the estate agents suggest.

Cliff House benefits from access down to the promenade and beach, while Dalkeith has access into the grounds of Highcliffe Castle, where there is also a path leading directly to the beach.

Savills said to due to the popularity and rarity of the properties, both are going to best bids, which are due to close at 12pm on April 26.
