There have been many changes to Westbourne over the years with the biggest being the redevelopment of the area to accommodate the Wessex Way with Westbourne being at the start of the dual carriageway leading out of Bournemouth.
Many buildings were demolished along with the County Gates Lodge and the Bournemouth West Railway station.
But throughout all this Westbourne has always been a popular place to shop with a busy high street and the beautiful indoor shopping arcades connecting Poole Road and Seymoor Road.
