A MAN from Dorset has been handed a short-term driving bang after reportedly being caught speeding in Staffordshire.
Damon Lee Bradley, aged 24, was alleged to have driven a motor vehicle on the A50 in Uttoxeter on November 5 last year at a speed exceeding 70mph.
Bradley, whose address was given as Allenby Barracks, Bovington, was charged with speeding and his case was dealt with under the single justice procedure.
A lone magistrate sitting in Newcastle-under-Lyme dealt with the case in a closed-doors hearing on March 11, which the defendant was not present for.
The case against Bradley was found to be proved and he was fined £660.
He was also issued with an order to pay a £66 surcharge and £90 costs.
The magistrate disqualified the offender from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 30 days.
