MOVIE fans will be able to enjoy some of the biggest films under the stars across Dorset this year.

A host of special screenings will be taking place in some of the county’s most spectacular settings.

Here’s a guide to what’s happening where and when across the area over the coming months. 

Lulworth Castle

The Luna Cinema returns to Lulworth Castle at East Lulworth in August.

People will be able to enjoy three films across three consecutive nights in the grounds of the 17th century castle which also plays host to Camp Bestival in July.

Visitors will be able to choose from action blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home on Tuesday, August 9, Steven Spielberg’s 2021 remake of West Side Story on Wednesday, August 10 and classic musical Grease on Thursday, August 11.

All screenings take place at 8.45pm.

Kingston Lacy

Bournemouth Echo:

Brand new for 2022, National Trust property Kingston Lacy situated near Wimborne will be hosting screenings on its lawn in the autumn as part of the Luna Cinema schedule.

James Bond can watch No Time To Die on Tuesday, September 20, followed by West Side Story on Wednesday, September 21.

Then on Thursday, September 22, film goers will be able to say that memorable line “nobody puts baby in the corner”, when Dirty Dancing takes to the big screen.

All films will be shown at 7.45pm.

Littledown

Adventure Cinema will be bringing three popular films to Littledown over the August bank holiday.

Dirty Dancing will be shown on Friday, August 26 with smash hit musical Mamma Mia! screened on Saturday, August 27.

Then on Sunday, August 28, families will be treated to Disney animation Encanto.

Gates open at 6.45pm and all films start at 8.15pm. 

A standard ticket is £14.50 with VIP and popcorn tickets priced at £20.50.
