A FORMER caravan park in Dorset sold for almost four times its guide price at a property auction.
The site at Duncan Place in Bovington went under the hammer earlier this month in Sherborne.
The land, which was previously home to four static caravans, had been given a guide price of £50,000 by estate agents Symonds & Sampson.
However, after significant interest, the freehold listing eventually sold for £192,000.
As reported, the 0.47 acres of land was historically home to several garage blocks.
In the mid 1990s planning permission was granted for four mobile homes.
The site is currently vacant although the concrete pads for the mobile homes remain in place.
Symonds & Sampson said the seller was restricting use of the land to storage or parking spaces. They added that the successful bidder would be able to request the seller’s consent after completion should they wish to change the use of the site.
