TWO entrepreneurs who founded a mushroom-based coffee business in Bournemouth are in for a fiery showdown on BBC’s Dragons’ Den next week.

Set to air on Thursday, February 10, the next episode of BBC One’s popular business pitch show will feature the founders of London Nootropics – a company which produces ‘adaptogenic’ coffee.

Adaptogens are certain herb or mushrooms thought to have health benefits.

Developed while they were living in Bournemouth, London Nootropics founders Zain Peer and Shez Shaikh will pitch for an investment in their adaptogenic coffee blends – with ingredients believed to enhance cognitive performance and improve brain health.

Their unique coffee blends are made from extracts including Lion’s Mane, Rhodiola, CBD, Ashwagandha, Cordyceps and Siberian Ginseng.

Already an established business, London Nootropics is an online shop and offers a subscription option for customers.

It’s website features reviews, one of which was made by current Virgin Radio host Chris Evans who described the product as “the nicest coffee I’ve ever tasted”.

The young pair are seeking investment from one or more of the five fire breathing business giants – Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Sara Davies, Touker Suleyman or newbie Steven Bartlett.
