POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two boys were assaulted in separate incidents just 24 hours apart in the same Hampshire town.
The first took place at around 4pm on Saturday, when a boy was provoked and assaulted by another teenager outside McDonald's at the Swan Centre in Wells Road.
Police say the victim received minor injuries as a result.
A spokesperson said: "Our officers have conducted initial enquiries and have increased patrols in the local area.
"We're now asking the public if anyone was in the area at the time and saw what happened, has any video evidence or seen any videos of the assault on social media."

The second incident took place in Fleming Park on Sunday between 4.30pm and 5.30pm
A 12-year-old boy was assaulted, suffering minor injuries to his leg, and was chased by a large group of young people in the park.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers are in the process of identifying those responsible and would like any witnesses, or anyone who has any information to come forward."
