The victim, a local man in his 20s, was approached by two men - one of which asked for a cigarette - in Old Christchurch Road near to Taka Taka at around 1.30am on Friday, January 14.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his early 20s, around six feet four inches tall and was wearing blue trousers, a black coat and trainers.

Police Constable Josh Hurwood, of Bournemouth police, said: “During the incident the victim managed to film the suspect and I am issuing a still image from this video in the hope that someone may recognise him. I would ask anyone who knows who this man is to please contact Dorset Police.”
