FAMILIES are being invited to put their best foot forward to help raise money for charity.

Dorset disability charity Diverse Abilities has added a family fun run to its Dorset Neon Run on Saturday, April 23.

The Family 2k is a new addition for 2022 following popular demand from participants to bring their little ones along to get involved in the event and fundraising.

Karen Hay, events manager at Diverse Abilities, said: “The Dorset Neon Run is always so much fun, and we’re really excited to now be able to offer a way for little ones to get involved. It’s a great excuse to get fit with the family and enjoy the outdoors together, all while doing good for an organisation right on your doorstep.”

The course is adapted from the 5k main event in Poole Park with registration opening at 4pm and the fun run beginning by 5.30pm.

Participants are encouraged to dress as colourfully as possible. A family ticket is £25 for two adults and two children, with additional child tickets available at £2.50 for those with bigger groups. Sign up prices include a glow pack comprised of glow sticks, glow bracelets and necklaces, and tubes of neon face paint.

Early Bird tickets for the main Dorset Neon Run 5k are £12.50 until the end of January.
