AFTER what may have seemed like the longest week of the year so far, it is finally time to enjoy the weekend.

Whether you're looking to let your hair down or take it easy, there's something for everyone. 

Here are some of the events taking place across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole this weekend: 

Tenors Un Limited - That's Amore at the Regent Centre in Christchurch

The Tenors Un Limited's 'Rat Pack of Opera’ is the number one selling classical vocal trio.

Let the guys take you on a journey through some of the best loved songs, made famous by other ‘icons of song’, such as Pavarotti, Lanza, Sting, Bublé and Freddie Mercury. These range from popular classics mixed with crooner and pop favourites.

All your troubles will melt away as these great showmen entertain you with soaring vocals, velvet harmonies and a killer sense of humour.

The group will be joined by local choir Sing People Sing

Tickets cost £24 for adults and £22 for concessions (including a £1 donation to the Regent Centre Development Fund).

Ed Byrne: If I'm Honest at the Lighthouse in Poole

The observational comic takes a long hard look at himself and tries to decide if he has ANY traits that are worth passing on to his children.

A household name, Ed has been seen on nearly every TV programme in the UK including Mock The Week, Top Gear, Have I Got News For You, The Graham Norton Show, Live At The Apollo (Host), The One Show, The World's Most Dangerous Roads, Dara & Ed's Big Adventure, Dara and Ed's Road to Mandalay and most recently QI and The Pilgrimage.

The Roy Orbison Story at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre

Fresh from his West End Debut at The Adelphi Theatre Barry Steele returns to celebrate solid gold hits from Roy Orbison and his friends.

The production will take you on a musical journey in time, as The Roy Orbison Story puts a contemporary twist on The Big O’s back catalogue and culminates in a stunningly brilliant accolade as the whole cast comes together to pay homage to the original supergroup ‘The Traveling Wilburys.’

With an 80’S vibe built-in; this show really does have something for everyone.

Wild Women at Pavilion Dance South West, Westover Road, Bournemouth

  • When? 10am Saturday, January 22

Wild Workshops encompass dance, physical theatre, voice and crafts, as tools to explore and celebrate our vibrant, powerful and wild selves. 

Workshops are designed for women/those who identify as women and focus on female representation and physical empowerment, connecting with our inner 'wild'. Expect to participate in yoga, meditation and movement in a safe and supportive environment. No previous dance experience necessary.

Chhaya Collective is a female-led contemporary dance company (Artistic Director Kay Crook) which has been working between UK and India since 2013.

Their performance and community projects strive to amplify women's voices and share real-life stories of women in the 21st Century. 

Tickets cost £7 per person.

Poole Parkrun in Poole Park, BH15 5SW

  • When? 9am Saturday, January 22

The free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event at Poole Park is open to everyone of all ages and abilities to walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate.

The busy parkrun sees more than 800 runners some weeks.

To reduce congestion and overtaking, please line up at the start commensurate to the position you think you will finish.

The run starts and finishes at West Field, (opposite the crazy golf) at the town centre end of the park.

The route will head towards the cycle path around the cricket pitch, taking a sharp right turn to run around the path anti clockwise, then head back towards the start and complete one lap of the lake.

You will then return to do another lap of the cycle track and run back towards the finish on West Field.
