A MAN received a black eye and required stitches after allegedly being punched by a cyclist for ‘cutting him up’.
At around 2pm on Thursday November 18 in Poole, the victim was getting out of his van to deliver parcels in Pearce Avenue when he encountered a man and woman on bicycles. The male cyclist approached him and punched him in the face, before accusing him of cutting him up.
The cyclists left the scene and the victim attended hospital for treatment to a black eye and cut to his lip, which subsequently required stitches.
Officers investigating the alleged assault in Poole have issued images of a man they would like to speak to.
Police constable Hannah Van Der Eyken, of Poole Police, said: “The victim was understandably left very shaken by this incident and we have been carrying out a number of enquiries to try and identify the man involved.
“I appreciate this incident was some time ago, but I have now obtained images of a man we would like to speak to as part of our enquiries.
“I would urge anyone with information as to his identity to please get in touch.”
