A MAN has been ordered to pay almost £2,000 in compensation after stealing paddleboards from an address in Poole.
Peter Christopher Turner, aged 37, was accused of the thefts on August 1 and August 14 last year.
Turner, whose address was given as Grove Road, Poole, pleaded guilty to committing the crimes at the property in Constitution Road.
A hearing at Poole Magistrates' Court on Monday, January 17, heard the defendant took two paddleboards worth £960 in both offences.
The bench handed Turner a 12-week community order, with a requirement to follow an overnight curfew.
He was also ordered to pay £1,920 compensation.
