FIVE motorists were stopped by police for alleged driving offences including driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
Dorset traffic police stopped five vehicles across the conurbation during their patrols last night, Saturday, January 15.
The first car was reportedly speeding on a dual carriageway in Poole. The driver was required to provide a roadside drug wipe which returned positive for cocaine.
A second driver was then stopped for speeding on a dual carriageway in Ferndown and again required to provide a roadside drug wipe. This reportedly returned positive for cocaine and cannabis.
Officers then stopped a vehicle that was identified as possibly driving without insurance in Boscombe.

The driver was stopped, required to provide a roadside drug wipe and allegedly returned positive for cocaine. They also reportedly had no insurance.
In Bournemouth a driver was identified leaving a local licensed premises. They were stopped and required to provide a breath test which they subsequently failed.
A spokesperson for Dorset Traffic Cops detailed the final motorist of the night: "Driver five practically crashed into our marked police vehicle as we drove back to station to go off duty at a roundabout just outside Poole."
