POLICE are continuing to investigate a theft at Kingston Lacy which led to the final two days of its Christmas spectacular being cancelled.

Two all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), electrical tools and around 400m of industrial cabling was stolen from the National Trust property near Wimborne.

The incident happened between 1am and 2am on Saturday, January 1.

The ATVs were recovered in the local area later the same morning.

One was found in a field in the Clayford area and the other was inside a white Ford Luton van at Oliver’s Park in Wimborne.

Earlier this month, Dorset Police issued images of a white Ford Luton van and a white Nissan Navara as part of its investigation.

It is believed the vehicles travelled in convoy from Kingston Lacy to Oliver’s Park.

Kingston Lacy was forced to cancel the final two days of its Christmas light show on January 1 and 2 as a result of the theft.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said on January 13 that an investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
