THE weather might be grey and uninspiring by these events certainly aren't so be sure to head outside this weekend. 

From live music to health and wellness, to pantomime there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Here are some of the events taking place across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole this weekend: 

80s Mania at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre

  • When? 7.30pm Saturday, January 15

This Saturday enjoy Europe's official long-standing premier 1980's multi-tribute concert show.

There will be 28 chart-topping artists from the 80's authentically recreated to look and sound as they did back in the day.

With a full live band, awesome dancers, mind-blowing lasers and light design this will be a party to kick away any January blues. 

Northern Soul at Winton and Moordown Royal British Legion

  • When? 7.30pm Saturday, January 15

Enjoy an evening of Northern Soul classics blended with a mix of R&B, 7Ts and Motown.

The soulful evenening will have hits played on vinyl through the crystal clear 4T5 RPM sound system.

Dance the night away on the great wooden dance floor with drinks at club prices and no membership is needed to attend.

Goldilocks - Adventures of a Porridge Thief! at The Black Cherry Comedy Club in Boscombe

  • When? 12pm Saturday, January 15

Goldilocks - Adventures of a Porridge Thief! is an interactive pantomime for all the family telling the tale of what happened next in the not-so classical tale. 

Will Baby Bear be able to get the Magic Porridge Pot back and fulfil her Coming of Age quest? What if the Big Bad Wolf gets his hands on the Magic Pot? And will Goldilocks be able to save the world from an oatmeal apocalypse?

Full of live music, audience banter, sing-alongs, dancing, parts for audience volunteers to perform on stage, and lots of porridge  - this pantomime is set to be a real belly-laugher.

LUSH Workshop, gym class and lunch at R1SE in Bournemouth

  • When? 10am Sunday, January 16

Bournemouth Echo: R1SE Cafe and GymR1SE Cafe and Gym

R1SE and LUSH are coming together to host a mix of activities to help attendees gain a sense of health, wellbeing, creativity, and community.

The event includes a LUSH workshop, R1SE gym class and use of showers and facilities with food created by head chef @amiieats at the R1SE cafe.

Guests will also take away a bag of goodies which including coffee vouchers, loyalty cards, LUSH products, and discounts to many local beauty and hair businesses.

New Year Viennese Concert by Bournemouth Brass Band at the Regent Centre in Christchurch

Bournemouth Concert Brass return to the Regent Centre to present their New Year Viennese Concert for the 25th year.

Come and join them to celebrate the music of Vienna, featuring music by composers associated with this wonderful city including of course, the Strauss family.

The concert finishes in typical fashion with the wonderful waltz The Blue Danube and the Radetsky March.

Tickets are £11.50 and concessions cost £11.
