A POPULAR charity shop will open at a bigger site next week after relocating.

Staffie and Stray Rescue opened its first charity shop in Kinson six years ago.

However, it will open a larger premises at 1516 Wimborne Road on Monday, January 17.

A spokesperson said: “The store has been a really successful hub for charity shoppers and for supporters of the charity to pop in and say hello, as well as donating items for the dogs in the rescues care and donating Christmas shoeboxes during the festive season.

“In the past six years, the charity has grown significantly and the size of the shop has been a struggle with the increase of donations and lack of space.”

The new store will open at 10am on Monday and will be between 9am and 4.30pm the rest of the week. It will be closed on Sunday.

The spokesperson added: “The shop design has all been done by the rescue's team of amazing volunteers, who have obtained second hand and recycled materials to create a modern, rustic feel.”
