POLICE have reported a spate of garage and vehicle break-ins in Christchurch, resulting in the theft of tools.

Incidents have been reported in the Highcliffe and Walkford area as Christchurch Police remind residents to ensure items of value are kept securely.

A spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, there have been more breaks to garages and motor vehicles in the Highcliffe, Walkford area where tools have been stolen. This time in the area of Tresillian Way, Bracken Way and Clifton close.

“Please ensure that all items of value are marked and kept securely. Please review your security arrangements and remain vigilant, reporting any suspicious behaviour or concerns to 101 or via the website.”
