A STAR of The Great British Bake Off is the latest guest on the Daily Echo's podcast.
Poole resident Maggie Richardson sat down with chief reporter Jason Lewis for an episode of The Echo Dispatch.
Retired NHS midwife Maggie discussed her Bake Off journey and how her life had changed since the show went to air on Channel 4 last year.
Speaking during the podcast, she said: "It has been very, very exciting since the Bake Off. The lovely thing is being recognised by people.
"I think the people that watch Bake Off are the nicest people in the world. They are so enthusiastic and so kind and so nice.
"Despite all my disasters, people think I did wonderfully and so that has been really good.
"Before the Bake Off perhaps I wasn't what they call a passionate baker. Since the Bake Off I have actually become completely obsessed with baking, it is quite surreal really."
