AN E-SCOOTER was stopped by police and taken away from the rider for causing drivers on an A-road to 'swerve'.
The rider was stopped on the A30 going westbound in Sherborne this morning after the rider was seen causing other road users to swerve to avoid them in poor weather and driving conditions.
Police said the rider was taken home by local officers and will not have their scooter returned to them.
A spokesman for Sherborne Police said: "Today officers have stopped an e-scooter and rider on the westbound A30 in lane one.
"The rider was causing other road users to swerve to avoid them in poor weather and driving conditions.
"Luckily the rider in this case was dropped home safely by local officers but the scooter will not be returned to them. Please remember that privately owned E-Scooters can only be used on private land."
