A MAN is due in court in relation to a fatal crash in a supermarket car park.
Dorset Police launched an investigation into the collision in the car park at Asda in West Quay Road, Poole.
The incident involved a silver Vauxhall Insignia and a pedestrian shortly after 2pm on Friday, September 18, 2020.
The pedestrian, 69-year-old local woman Susan Stanford, was taken to Southampton General Hospital by the ambulance service with life-threatening injuries.
Ms Stanford died from her injuries in hospital on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
Following a detailed investigation by officers, a 40-year-old man from Poole has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 10, for an offence of causing death by careless driving.
