COULD you welcome a pet into your home this new year?

Animal rescue centre Margaret Green, which has two sites in Dorset, is seeking forever homes for dogs, cats, goats, guinea pigs and even a horse this week.

Meet just some of the animals needing to be rehomed.

Bournemouth Echo:

Enzo is a handsome one-year-old Lurcher. He is a large, cheeky, playful boy who adores game time and human interaction. He’s looking for a home where someone will be around for most of the day, to build up his confidence slowly. He has lots of energy so he would love to go on adventures and long walks. He would also be happy living with older children.

Bournemouth Echo:

Eske is a three-year-old Greyhound. He is a lively boy who loves to play and run with his fellow sighthound friends. He is very happy to greet new people and loves to have cuddles and a back scratch. He would be happy to live with medium-large sized dogs and older children, but he wouldn’t be able to live with cats or small furries.

Bournemouth Echo:

Harley is a 13hh, 22-year-old crossbreed. He is a cheeky boy who loves to be the centre of attention. He also loves to follow his human companions around everywhere and he’s very inquisitive about the comings and goings. He would be great fun for someone to do some groundwork with. He is up for rehoming as a non-ridden companion, who will need to be rehomed with geldings only.

Bournemouth Echo:

Boris is around two-years-old and he is looking for a home where he will be a companion to another goat. He is a very active and playful lad, who will need a lot of space and things to do to occupy his time. He will need high fencing in his new home, as he has long legs and can jump easily.

Bournemouth Echo:

Buzz is looking for a forever home with his friend, Carl. They are both young males who are under a year old and can be nervous to start with. They can be very chatty though and once they have built up their confidence, they are very friendly.

To register an interest in rehoming Harley, Boris or Buzz and Carl, please contact the team at Church Knowle: churchknowle@mgar.org.uk

Bournemouth Echo:

Tiny is a beautiful girl who is 12-years-old. She has always been used to a quiet lifestyle, so she would like to find a village or rural home as the only pet in the household. She’s an affectionate girl who enjoys her Dreamies or being brushed, as she likes attention. She would like to find an adult-only home and she can't wait to meet her new owner!

To register an interest in rehoming Tiny, please contact the team at Wingletang in Devon: wingletang@mgar.org.uk
