TODAY we are putting the spotlight on five of your festive pets who looked their best over Christmas and the New Year.

Give a warm welcome to Comet and Jupiter the Guinea pigs, Sandy the greyhound, Marley the shih tzu, Frankie and Dylan the Leonbergers and Lady Padma the domestic short hair cat.

Comet and Jupiter the Guinea pigs from Poole love to munch vegetables and squeak every time someone goes near the fridge. They greet people every time they walk by and squeak anytime they hear the sound of a wrapper. They also finished off the leftover sprouts at Christmas.

Sandy the Greyhound is pictured wearing a santa outfit. Her owner Michele Miskelly said she loves to sleep all day and she loves how lazy she is.

Chloe Wilson from Poole introduced us to Marley the Shih Tzu. Marley has a toy called ‘Snowball’ which is a little fluffly white ball he has had for years, he plays with it all year round and knows it by name. Chloe said she loves everything about him: "he is my world like his brothers Brody the boxer and Harvey the cocker spaniel."

Frankie and Dylan the Leonbergers are pictured with their stockings. The pair are avid swimmers and participate in water rescue training in summer months with New Forest Working Dogs. Their owner Bryan Dion loves their unconditional love and affection.

Last but not least, we introduce Lady Padma the domestic short hair, wearing a festive jumper. Padma loves to eat, sleep and play, her owner loves her fun personality and cuteness.
