IF you're not feeling quite in the Christmas spirit just yet – and let's face it, many of us aren't at the moment – then get yourself a ticket for the Christmas Spectacular.

The Glad Rag Production Company is once again staging its festive classic at the Regent Centre in Christchurch, having last year performed at Bournemouth Pavilion.

If you haven't been before, this really is the most feel-good show around. Those who are regulars will know full well what to expect – and the 2021 production certainly doesn't disappoint.

This year, Santas's little helpers pay a visit to Christchurch – deemed the place in the world with the least Christmas spirit – in a bid to muster up some festive magic to enable the reindeer to fly.

Bournemouth Echo: The Glad Rag Production Company's Christmas Spectacular is at the Regent Centre in Christchurch in December 2021

I'm always blown away by the talent and sheer professionalism of this local company. Impressive dance routines, beautiful vocals and a wealth of stunning costumes that would give Strictly a run for its money in the sequin stakes.

There is everything you'd want in a fun, family show, with plenty of humour, some innuendoes for the adults a water pistol moment and a heap of Christmas classics thrown in to get you feeling festive. Plus the ever popular If I Were Not On Santa's Team routine.

Bournemouth Echo:

Teams of talented local youngsters are brought in for the aaah factor and, from the littlest elf right through to Santa himself, it's clear the entire cast is having an absolute ball on stage. The infectious joy and enthusiasm can't help but spread itself among the audiences, ensuring everyone leaves with a smile on their face.

Merry, bright and, quite simply, spectacular.

The Christmas Spectacular is at the Regent Centre in Christchurch until Christmas Eve.
