A MAN working for a pizza company admitted driving without insurance despite receiving a warning letter.
Officers from Dorset Police No Excuse received a report that the ride of a scooter was on his phone videoing while on the road in Bournemouth.
A spokesperson for the No Excuse team said: “It was reported two weeks ago by members of the public that the rider of this scooter was on his phone videoing while on the road in Bournemouth.
“At the time we didn’t catch up with him, but saw the bike had no insurance, so we sent a warning letter regarding the phone use and insurance from our Dorset road safe team.
“While in Boscombe today we saw the scooter on the move, checks established the bike still didn’t have any insurance on PNC.
“When stopped the driver admitted to not having any insurance, despite the warning letter - he was working for a local pizza company.
The rider received six points and a £300 fine with the bike seized.”
