A MAN from London has been fined by the courts for being at a Dorset beauty spot during a Covid lockdown period.
Robert Ryszard Talaga, 39 and of Paddock Road, London, was said to have been at Durdle Door car park in West Lulworth, on January 15.
This was considered an offence as he left the place where he was living in the capital without a reasonable excuse and other than as was permitted by the Covid regulations.
The case against Talaga was proved under the single justice procedure at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, December 1.
The defendant was not present in court for the behind closed doors process, which saw him fined £1,100 and ordered to pay a £110 surcharge and £90 costs.
