A DONKEY was killed in a hit-and-run incident in the New Forest.
Now a reward of up to £5,000 is being offered for information leading to the conviction of the person involved - thought to be a motorcyclist.
The three-year-old donkey was killed at Hilltop, near Beaulieu, and wreckage recovered at the scene suggests it was hit by a maroon BMW bike.
Signs unveiled at the scene say it happened on November 26 at around 7am.
Posting on social the New Forest Roads Awareness group urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
The reward scheme is operated by the New Forest Verderers, the organisation that oversees the system which allows ponies, cattle and donkeys to graze the landscape.
People can expect a payment of up to £5,000, depending on their level of involvement in the prosecution.
