EMERGENCY services were called to a Christchurch road after a car crashed into a tree.

Suffolk Avenue was blocked after a car hit the tree on Tuesday morning.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said they were called at 10.52am by the ambulance service.

They said the fire service was also called and recovery of the car was needed.

A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: “A crew from Christchurch attended the incident at 10.58am this morning which involved a car and a tree.

“No firefighting action was required, the crew just assisted with scene safety. Our stop came at 11.29am.”
