A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences after a Mercedes crashed into a raised flower bed in Poole.
Officers were called out to Melbury Avenue at 3.22pm on Sunday November 28 after a silver Mercedes drove off the road and collided with a low-lying brick wall.
Police closed the road as the vehicle was recovered, and BCP Council workers worked to clear up the fuel from the road.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: “We were called at 3.22pm on Sunday 28 November 2021 to reports of a single vehicle RTC in Melbury Avenue in Poole.
“It is reported a silver Mercedes car had left the road and struck a raised flower bed.
“The road was blocked, and damage was caused to the wall. The local authority were asked to attend to clear up fuel from the road.
“A 37-year-old man from Bognor Regis was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.”
