A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a motorcycle crashed into her.

Police are investigating, after the motorcyclist failed to stop at the scene in Holdenhurst Road.

At around 11.05pm on Friday, November 19, a woman aged in her 30s was walking along Holdenhurst Road towards the Southbourne roundabout, when she was involved in a crash with a black motorcycle.

Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

It was reported that the motorcycle failed to stop at the scene.

Police Constable John Barron, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to carry out a number of enquiries to try and identify the motorbike and rider involved in this collision.

“Firstly, I would like to thank the members of the public who helped the injured woman and called the emergency services. Unfortunately, those on scene have not seen the registration number of the motorbike involved.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, taken a photo or have dashcam footage of the motorbike to please get in touch with us to enable officers to gather all available evidence.”
