DIVERSE Abilities has launched two new workshop events to help raise vital funds for adults and children with disabilities across Dorset.

The first workshop, taking place at The Beehive Centre from 6pm until 9pm on Tuesday November 23, is co-hosted by Edwards Artisan Florist and allows participants to make their own stylish Christmas wreath.

Vicky, from Edwards, will take everyone through the process step by step to create a wreath.

Fundraising manager at Diverse Abilities Emma Bovey said: “We are so ready to start celebrating and enjoy Christmas this year, so what better way to get in the festive spirit than by taking on an evening of crafts.

“Bring your friends or join us as a team building activity and know that you’re doing your bit to support those with disabilities in your community.”

Tickets are £65 per person and include all materials to make the festive door hangings.

The second workshop, which takes place on Tuesday November 30 from 6pm until 9pm, is a Christmas Pudding workshop hosted by Maggie the Seaside Baker, known for her appearance on this year’s Great British Bake Off.

This workshop will also be hosted at The Beehive Centre in Poole, with tickets priced at £45 per person, which includes all the required ingredients.

Emma added: “What better way to serve up Christmas pudding on the big day than to be able to say you made it. Maggie will also be able to give us the inside scoop on all things GBBO.”

Spaces for both workshops are limited, and booking is necessary.

Diverse Abilities is also proposing a joint offer, with those wishing to book onto both workshops able to attend for £100.
