A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on Ringwood Road, Longham, on Tuesday evening.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the A348 Ringwood Road in Longham following a collision at 4.59pm.

A police spokesperson said: "The fire service assisted with releasing one person from their vehicle and a woman was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious.

"A man was also treated by the ambulance service but it’s not clear from our log whether he was taken to hospital."

It had been reported that the crash involved two vehicles between the B3073 Ham Lane and the Bear Cross Roundabout.

Firefighters from Redhill Park and Ferndown stations were in attendance.

The road was closed since 5.30pm. It reopened around 7.50pm.
