POLICE are reminding road users to not park on zig-zag markings after two concurrent instances outside a West Howe school.

Whilst on patrol around West Howe on Monday, November 22, Bournemouth Police officers noticed two vehicles parked and unattended on zig-zag lines outside a school just as the children were starting to leave.

A spokesperson said: “Zig-zag markings on a road are there for the safety of yourself and others.

“They are not there for use as a parking space, especially outside a school.”

When the drivers of the parked cars returned, they were reported for the offence.
