A HEARTBROKEN dog owner is appealing for information in the search for her beloved Puli pup Neya.

Mandy Biggs has been searching tirelessly for more than four weeks since Neya went missing from her parents house in the BH23 area of Christchurch on Tuesday, October 19.

Living a dog-owner’s nightmare, Mandy Biggs has been searching tirelessly for Neya since she went missing more than four weeks ago in the BH23 area of Christchurch.

Neya had been staying with Mandy’s in-laws whilst she and her husband Russell went on holiday.

The energetic pup was last seen jumping the stair gate when chasing a squirrel and hasn’t been since - this was on Tuesday, October 19.

Mandy said: “We rehomed Neya and she had been with us for about six weeks. She had settled in really well.

"She's a lovely natured dog and we took her down the beach and her recall was really good.

“We had a holiday booked and she went to stay with our in-laws, not far from where we live.

She said: "We came back staight away and everyday since then we've been looking."

Bournemouth Echo:

Neya is a Hungarian Puli and her fur wil now be much longer.

Since Neya went missing Mandy has sent out drones, been on searches and had her posters shared on social media thousands of times.

However, with all of the attention there have been a number of hoax calls and viscous messages.

Mandy said: “I had someone call up and demand £5,000 saying ‘I’ve got your dog and I’ll start cutting her up if you don’t pay’.

“It plays around with your emotions and there are some sick twisted people out there.”

The pictures of Neya show her with a recent hair cut, however by now her coast will be growing and Puli’s have dreadlocks so she may look slightly different.

Mandy said: “I don’t think she’s out there roaming in the wild, I think someone’s taken her in and maybe they don’t have Facebook - maybe they haven’t seen my posters.

“But I believe she’s been taken.”

Neya and Russell Briggs at Southbourne Beach

Beautiful Neya very quickly became the light of Mandy and Russel’s lives, she got on well with other dogs and they all enjoyed spending time on walks along Southbourne beach.

Mandy said: “Just do the right thing and just hand her back in, even if they left her somewhere that there’s a lot of people, or at the police station or any local vet because they will scan her.

“I just hope and pray at the weekends that she’s been handed in because vets are closed and on a Monday I just pray for a call from the vets."

She added: "I get messages from people all the time and it's lovely, they really keep me going.

"I believe that she will come back, I really do.

If any of the public should spot Neya, please take a photo and contact Mandy immediately - do not try to approach or catch Neya.
