POLICE were called to deal with two shoplifting incidents in Bournemouth yesterday morning.

One incident happened in Bournemouth town centre on November 15 before 9.30am and the other occurred at Castlepoint Shopping Centre shortly before midday.

Two females and a man are now assisting police with enquiries into both incidents.

A spokesman from Bournemouth Police said: “Not even 9.30am yet and PCSO Harold, with the help of our CCTV, our fab response team and the Rangers, managed to recover a large amount of stolen goods from various local businesses.

“Two females are now assisting us with enquiries after trying to start their Christmas shopping.

“Later, whilst on patrol in Castlepoint, Bournemouth North NPT were alerted to a suspicious person who, upon further investigation, was found to be in possession of an amount of suspected stolen items.

“Further enquiries are ongoing, and an individual is now assisting police.

“Shoplifting will not be tolerated anywhere, if you are struggling for funds over this time of year then reach out to support services.”
