MANY households in Christchurch have been alarmed to find green coloured water coming out of their household taps.
A large number of residents in the BH23 postcode woke up this morning to find their tap water had a slight green tinge to it.
Some residents said they have been experiencing green water since Wednesday, October 20.

Bournemouth Water has apologised to people living in Burton and Winkton, said that the green water is due to the heavy rain recently washing minerals into the reservoir.
However, the scientific team at the utility firm said the water is still fine to consume and use and normal.
A Bournemouth Water spokesman said: “We are sorry that some customers in the Christchurch area may have noticed a slight change in the colour of their tap water.
“This has been caused by the recent heavy rainfall, which has resulted in increased colour in the river that supplies the Knapp Mill Water Treatment Works.
“We’d like to reassure customers that we are monitoring the situation closely and that the water is fine to continue to use as normal.
“Our monitoring indicates that the colour in the treated water is now improving. We thank customers for their patience.”
