TWO BROTHERS will appear at Winchester Crown Court accused of murdering a 23-year-old man in a town centre. 

Max Maguire died following an “absolutely tragic” stabbing in Lymington High Street on Friday night.

The 23-year-old fisherman who has been described as an “amazing brother, son and father” was pronounced dead on the scene outside the Royal British Legion social club.

Another 23-year-old man sustained serious injuries and is still being treated in hospital.

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old woman received non-life-threatening wounds to her chest.

Two brothers appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court this morning in connection with the fatal attack.

Garon Jewell, 18, from the Flushards estate in Lymington, and Draven Jewell, 20, of no fixed address, were both charged with murder.

They were both also charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Standing in the dock this morning, Garon and Draven, spoke only to confirm their names, addresses and dates of birth.

Garon was defended by Janet Brownlow and Draven by Barry Keal.

Neither defendant entered any pleas.

The Chairwoman of the magistrates’ panel, Ms Hayley Homer, sent the case to be heard at Winchester Crown Court tomorrow (Wednesday, October 27.

Both men have been remanded into custody.
