POLICE have arrested three people on suspicion of shoplifting in Christchurch town centre.
The trio were apprehended by officers in Christchurch on Thursday October 21.
The force say there are to increase foot patrol along the high street in the town following a spate of anti-social behaviour, including theft from shops.
A police spokesman said: “Following an increase in shoplifting, Christchurch Police have been conducting foot patrols in Christchurch Town Centre and will take further action to target offenders.
“Shoplifting can have a major impact on shop staff, and we will not tolerate any abusive or intimidating behaviour targeting staff attempting to prevent stock loss."
