FOOD vouchers worth £30 each will be available for families who need support this half-term.
BCP Council is using some of the Household Support Fund Grant to provide eligible pre-school and school age children with a £30 supermarket food voucher for October half term.
Schools will issue vouchers directly for eligible school age children - a £30 voucher is available for each eligible child.
Cllr Nicola Greene said: “The government has recently launched the Household Support Fund Grant to help families in need with essentials over the coming months.
- “We have allocated to use some of the grant to provide eligible pre-school and school age children with a £30 supermarket food voucher for the October half-term holiday period.

“Families with eligible pre-school age children must apply for a voucher through our Family Information Service before 11pm on Friday 29 October 2021. Schools will issue vouchers directly to eligible school age children.”
Children must be living in Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole and currently meet at least one of the following criteria: receiving two-year early education funding at an early years setting, receiving Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) funding at an early years setting or be open to children's social care or early help.
If you have not had a voucher before and you meet the eligibility criteria, please apply via the BCP Council website. The deadline for applications is 11pm on Friday, October 29.
