A RIVER has burst its banks causing 'multiple flooding incidents' in a Dorset village.
The River Char burst its banks in the early hours of this morning after a night of heavy rainfall.
A wading team from Bridport Fire Station was called to the scene and firefighters have warned people to keep safe and to stay out of the floodwater.
A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "Bridport's wading team were mobilised to multiple flooding incidents in the Charmouth area after the river Char burst its bank following on from the earlier downpours.
"Keep safe and stay out of flood water."
