DORSET Police are looking into a burglary in Poole in which money and items of jewellery were stolen.

At 10.15pm on Friday October 15 the occupants of an address in West Way in Broadstone returned home from an evening out and discovered their home had been broken into and a search had been carried out.

The burglary is believed to have occurred between 7.50pm and 8pm.

A quantity of cash and items of jewellery was stolen

Subsequent enquiries have identified a light-coloured five door family car that was seen in the area at the time and two people who were seen walking in the area between Upton Way and Lytchett Drive.

Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have captured the offenders on dashcam to come forward.

Detective Constable Michelle Lawrence, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am aware there were a number of vehicles in the area at the time of the burglary and I would urge anyone who was travelling in the area on that evening to please check their dashcam footage to see if they have captured a light-coloured family car or people acting suspiciously.

“Finally, I would ask people living in that area to check their home CCTV systems to see if they have anything that may assist my investigation.”
