THE popular Elf Dash will be returning for its sixth year this Christmas in aid of University Hospital Dorset NHS Charity.
Taking place at Branksome Dene Beach, the annual sponsored event, previously hosted by Poole Hospital Charity, returns on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
Members of the public are invited to take on a sponsored walk, run, skip or dance along a 2km promenade route whilst raising funds to support the Royal Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch hospitals.
The family friendly event welcomes attendees of all ages and abilities and with the support of Haskins Garden Centre, also includes a special visit to Santa in his grotto as well as a Christmas gift for children.
Upon completing their dash, all attendees will also receive a free hot lunch provided by Rapid Relief, as well their own elf hat and medal.
- Sara Fripp, fundraising manager at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity said “We are so pleased that Elf Dash is back for another year and we’d love to see the community come together in their best festive fancy dress whilst supporting their local hospitals this Christmas.

"We have received some fantastic support from local businesses which has allowed us to offer a Christmas event for all to enjoy.”
Lucie Rochfort, past Elf Dash attendee and therapy lead at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity said “What better way to get in the festive spirit than a family dash in your elf hats! We had so much fun whilst enabling the charity to purchase much needed items to benefit hospital staff and patients – what a great cause.”
Elf Dash tickets are priced at £10 for adults (age 16+) and £6 per child and attendees are also encouraged to raise additional sponsorship to support the charity.
The event provides the opportunity for local supporters to make a huge difference to their hospitals this Christmas, whether they’ve received treatment at UHD, would like to support hardworking NHS staff or simply wish to give something back.
