A POOLE man has been sentenced by the courts for breaching Covid lockdown rules at his home.

Kristopher Robert Rickards took part in a gathering of two or more people indoors at his address in Arne Avenue on February 19.

Rickards, 30, pleaded guilty to this breach of coronavirus regulations through the single justice procedure, which meant he did not have to attend court.

A single magistrate sitting at Weymouth on October 5 handed the offender a £200 fine alongside an order to pay £85 costs and a £34 victim surcharge.

At the time of the offence, the country was still in a national lockdown which made it an offence to meet people from outside your household or support bubble indoors.
