THE Maternity Voices Partnership are looking for volunteers to help improve services across Dorset.

People who have used Dorset’s maternity services in the past five years, or who have supported a family to do so, are being invited to apply to become a Service User Representative or Maternity Partnership Chair for the new Maternity Voices Partnership.

Maternity Voices Partnerships are independent working groups, made up of clinicians, service users and other relevant people who work collaboratively to improve maternity services for all.

The volunteers will help to shape services by representing the voices of the parents and families who access them across the whole of Dorset.

Dorset’s Maternity Voices Lead Representative, Rachel Filmer says: ‘We are looking for people who have used maternity services in the last five years, or who have supported a family to do so. For example, breastfeeding peer support, antenatal educators, doulas etc. or those who work for related charitable organisations.

“It’s really exciting to be establishing Maternity Voices Partnerships, so that more local families can get involved.

Successful candidates will be supported by Rachel and the maternity team at NHS Dorset CCG.

Visit the Dorset CCG website for more information and how to apply. Applications close on October, 31, 2021.
