A KEY Dorset roundabout will be closed in early November to carry out structural repairs as well as resurface the road as part of ongoing maintenance work.

Poole Hill Roundabout on the A35, at Bere Regis, will be shut for four nights between Monday, November 1, and Friday, November 5.

In addition to the night closures the road will be shut off all day on Thursday November 4, due to the treatment being used.

Signed diversions will be implemented with Dorset Council urging drivers travelling east to west to use the A35, A350 and the A31.

Those heading from the south will be diverted to use the A352 and A351 to join the route.

Dorset Council also said drivers may wish to choose their own alternative route that is suitable to their own vehicle.

People who live in the Poole area are also being advised that a section of Blandford Road North in Upton will be one-way throughout November.

The road will be northbound only between Upton Close and Upton Roundabout between November 1 and November 26 as apart of the construction of a new Aldi store.

As a result a signed diversion route will be in place for southbound drivers to use the Upton Bypass and Poole Road to get onto Blandford Road North.
