A MAN has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after damaging a pub window.

Stephen Jonathan Clarke, 37, pleaded guilty to a single charge of criminal damage in relation to an incident at The White Horse in High Street, Swanage, on August 22.

Clarke, of Ulwell Road, Swanage, appeared in the dock at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on October 7.

The court heard he damaged a window to the value of £100 belonging to the pub.

The defendant received a 12-month community order, with requirements to complete up to 15 rehabilitation activity days.

He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation, a £95 surcharge and £85 costs.
