COASTGUARD teams were called to help a dog stuck over the cliff near Durdle Door.
Kimmeridge Coastguard and Lulworth Coastguard were called shortly before 4pm on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for Kimmeridge Coastguard said: “This afternoon the team were requested to proceed to Durdle Door to assist Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team with a dog over the cliff and stuck approximately 20m down.
“Wyke Coastguard CRT were also paged and working together a rope rescue was successfully carried out lowering a coastguard down the cliff and returning Frankie the labrador back to the top.
“With Frankie none the worse for wear and more interested in eating the teams biscuits, all resources restowed the equipment and returned to station.”
